Happy Friday! Last week we shared some Summer Favorites in case you missed it!
This weekend we’re focusing on cleaning up the outside of our house and getting ready for plumbing and insulation inside. Hopefully we can get the dry wall up in the next few weeks. We need at least a couple rooms to be mostly finished before we can start moving in next month! Hopefully we can share some more house updates with you all very soon 🙂
In the meantime, here are some favorite ideas and links from around the web this week:
1-Favorite Beachy Decor
Spring and summer is a great time to use beach decor but if you’re like me and don’t want to commit to an entire coastal themed home, you may like Serena & Lily. They have a wide selection of coastal-inspired decor that can easily be fit in with other styles and decor when you want to change it up again.

2-Favorite Skinny Watermelon Mojito
My friend Molly first introduced me to watermelon mojitos last summer and I was hooked! I have an overabundance of mint right now and plan on diving into a few of these over the weekend. Here is a “skinny” recipe version to try!
3-Favorite Herb Salt
Besides mint, I have a few other herbs that I can’t seem to use enough of, but I thought this herb salt was a great idea for preservation! I like the combo that The Prudent Garden used: rosemary, sage, thyme, and garlic.
4-Favorite Quick and Easy DIY Project
I’m always on the lookout for quick and easy DIY projects, especially for organizing, which I struggle with quite a bit! Using a picture frame as a wipe-off board is a great idea! You can choose whatever frames and background paper to match your current style. See the easy tutorial here-anyone can do this!
5-Favorite Avocado Toast
I *love* avocado toast in the mornings, for lunch, really anytime. I usually keep it simple with toasted bread from a local bakery, mashed avocado, and a little sprinkle of sea salt. This Caprese Avocado Toast takes it to a whole new level! I think mini versions could also be a fun appetizer for a summer BBQ. Let me know if you try it!
Are you trying any new projects or recipes this weekend?!
